Chrysoprase as a custom pendant
Regular chrysoprase brings a clear green note to a handmade stone necklace. Its color can move from gentle apple green to a deeper, more saturated shade, with translucent areas that seem to hold the light. Small inclusions, pale seams, and traces of host rock can interrupt the color and make a particular piece recognizable.
Chrysoprase is green chalcedony, a very fine-grained silica material. Nickel-bearing material is responsible for its characteristic color. It is different from the yellow-green magnesite often sold as citron or lemon chrysoprase, so the two have their own options in our collection. Choose regular chrysoprase for a greener, potentially more translucent look.
Where is chrysoprase found?
Australia is an important source of chrysoprase, including material associated with weathered nickel-bearing rocks. Deposits are also known in Poland and other countries. Color alone cannot establish the country or mine: the source of a specific cabochon needs documentation from its supplier. Our guide describes the material generally, rather than assigning an unverified origin to the studio’s stock.
These are known occurrences of the material type. The origin of the studio’s current material is not verified unless stated for that specific piece.

Chrysoprase: personal meaning & symbolism
For a personal or metaphysical interpretation, green chrysoprase can represent renewal, generosity, and an open heart. You may choose those associations as an intention for a gift, rather than as a claim that the stone changes someone’s health or emotions. The wearer’s own connection to the color and the occasion can matter more than a prescribed crystal meaning.
Metaphysical associations reflect spiritual beliefs and personal symbolism, not scientifically established effects.
A fresh green gift, made around their taste
Consider a chrysoprase pendant for someone who wears green, loves an understated silhouette, or is beginning a new chapter. A custom necklace lets you pair that familiar color with a shape they would actually choose. It can be a special birthday gift without depending on a traditional birthstone assignment.
Designing your chrysoprase piece
A long oval or teardrop gives the green room to glow. A cushion offers a broader surface for subtle variations, while a slim geometric cut keeps the design restrained. Add notes about the balance of clear green and matrix you prefer; the available rough guides what the maker can achieve. Both loose cabochons and finished necklaces include progress photos.
You choose the stone type, shape, and size. Choose a loose cabochon, a pendant with a bail for your own chain, or a complete pendant and chain. Custom drawings are reviewed for feasibility before cutting, and your notes stay with your design.
